Dealer Employment Scholarship Repayment Program
The Dealer Employment Scholarship Repayment Program is a cooperative two-year college level student technician education program in which General Equipment & Supplies sponsors you, provides you with financial aid for expenses directly related to a Diesel Technology Program and employs you as a Coop Student. This will allow you to gain excellent on-the-job experience during off-time from school (summers, etc) and full-time upon successful completion of the Diesel Technology Program. Students must be accepted into a local area technical college, such as NDSCS, or training facility that offers the Diesel Technology or related program.
Komatsu ACT Program
The Komatsu Advanced Career Training Program (“Komatsu ACT”) is a cooperative college level student technician education program that is administered by the Heavy Equipment & Vehicle Institute at Oklahoma State University (“OSU-Okmulgee”). General Equipment & Supplies sponsors you and provides you with financial aid for expenses directly related to the Komatsu Service Technology Program. The two-year, six-semester Program incorporates approximately one-half of the time designated for education at OSU-Okmulgee and one-half of the time designated for on-the-job experience at General Equipment. Each block of technical and general education is followed by on-the-job experience at General Equipment which reinforces the technical education. Each time period is approximately 7 ½ weeks in length.
Purpose of these programs:
* To enable students to receive technical education in heavy equipment technology and/or related areas and develop a high level of competency in diagnosing, servicing and maintaining construction equipment
* Earn Scholarship monies to help pay for tuition, textbooks, fees, housing and meal plans
* Earn a degree in Diesel Technology or Komatsu Service Technology and pursue a career as a heavy equipment technician * Work for a GREAT company, enjoy FANTASTIC benefits and HAVE FUN!
