Features

The 3,500 hp Ultra class 960E-2 has the capacity to carry 280 yd3 or 360 tons of material. The AC electric drive system coupled with spin-slide traction control, and 6,000 hp retarding system give the operator the control he needs to maximize the production of this behemoth. The hydropneumatic suspension system helps to keep material in the bed for more production and cleaner haul roads and also give the operator and drive train a softer, more comfortable ride. These trucks have put in millions of hours in mines around the world because of its rugged design which, like all Komatsu trucks and products, use castings in the high stress areas.
